In the Swing of Things
Things around here are pretty busy right now. I am finishing up my second semester of my MLIS program...this semester I am taking two classes and they are consuming so much of my time it's ridiculous! Amelia is busy, busy, busy at work and then she comes home and is busy, busy, busy at home so we've hardly done anything in preparation for Christmas or the baby :(

VOILA!

We did take a couple of hours out a couple of weeks ago and completed the Christmas Village by Martha Stewart...it turned out so cute...judge for yourself.

VOILA!

T-Day
Thanksgiving was really good. We decided to go on up to both Wooster and Oberlin despite our sick pup and drove for 4 hours on Thursday night just to get 2 hours north...what a pain in the ass! Despite the ridiculous drive we had a good time! The food was even better than last year, the kids a year older so they drove me a little less crazy :) and the weather held out for our drive. It did snow a bit on T-day but it was wet and didn't stick to much of anything.
I of course left our camera in my bag overnight in the car and the next morning I thought I had killed it (it's fine now) so no photos from the day to share...oh except this foggy one of Duke staring at me because I apparently was making too much noise...you know breathing and all...while he was trying to nap! You probably can't tell but he has his little chin resting on the footstool that goes with the chair I was sitting in...too cute!

Our weekend sucked, how 'bout yours?
So this weekend was shot all to hell because our dog Bridgette, who is 16, is very sick. We aren't religious but please send any warm wishes, hugs, snuggles, and kisses her way...she could certainly use them.

Baby News

So things are moving along at a nice clip with the whole baby thing. We have two pieces of furniture now and are working at getting some other things done as well. The last time I put one of those cute little tickers up we still had over 200 days to go, Holy Shit we are now under 200 and well on our way to making it to only 150 days to go...gotta run...just thought you might want an update as to how far along I am, and hate to deny your requests but you will not be getting any belly shots...ever!

I graduated from High School in Charleston, WV and I am so not surprised...
A letter from Pat Conroy (author of The Prince of Tides)
A Letter to the Editor of the Charleston Gazette:
I received an urgent e-mail from a high school student named Makenzie Hatfield of Charleston, West Virginia. She informed me of a group of parents who were attempting to suppress the teaching of two of my novels, “The Prince of Tides” and “Beach Music.” I heard rumors of this controversy as I was completing my latest filthy, vomit-inducing work. These controversies are so commonplace in my life that I no longer get involved. But my knowledge of mountain lore is strong enough to know the dangers of refusing to help a Hatfield of West Virginia. I also do not mess with McCoys.

I'm Reed Fish

So I don't usually talk about movies on here because my kind of movies aren't everyone's cup of tea but I am a HUGE fan of the romantic comedy...HUGE!
This past weekend Amelia's little sister was visiting us and we decided that sine it was cold and late we'd just get movies from that Pay Per View thingy on cable...which we've never done before...mostly because we are lame and we never even remember we have it.
So on Saturday night we watched Hot Fuzz, Amelia is a huge fan of this movie and Shaun of the Dead, which weirdly enough I also enjoyed but we also rented Wild Hogs. Mostly because Emily thought this was one of the funniest movies she's ever seen...well she was wrong...Wild Hogs is like an updated version of Grumpy/Grumpier old men...BORING!
Anyways onto Sunday and the day I was supposed to be doing homework HA so I was all alone and I decided to PPV I'm Reed Fish, mostly because I've been wanting to see it and because Alexis Bledel is in it. Now I'm pretty sure most of you have never even heard of this movie but alas I must be exposed to the more eclectic movie options because it has been on my to do movie list for awhile now. I was so diappointed...the only good things were the cute girls, no cute boys and the soundtrack...I love the soundtrack...I must have the soundtrack. So I went onto Amazon.com pretty much right away to purchase said soundtrack and the only option was an MP3 download...what the hell? Ok, so to my technologically advanced friends...I have an IPOD is that an MP3 player? If yes does anyone know how I'd buy it from amazon.com and then get it on my IPOD? Grrrrr this is crazy and it is making me feel old, I just don't get it.
Anyhoo, go out and get the soundtrack yourself or if I can figure out how to buy it I'll burn ya' a copy...that I can do :)
Oh and I didn't reread this so I hope it makes sense.

In other news...
Sorry this isn't very clear (it's a picture of a picture) but I wanted to get it up for my sister in Massachusetts to see...we are finally into our 2nd trimester and all is looking good. We are excited, Amelia a little more than me since she doesn't want to puke her guts out everyday (at least not until the kid says, "Mommy how are babies made?") HA HA HA I hope you guys can see it fairly clearly.
