Baby Girl has taken a nose dive into position so that we didn't need to schedule a c-section...I know that's really great and all but I was sort of set on having a c-section...you know easy, laid back, just a bit more recovery time.
So now I'm freaking out! But I guess we'll see.

Sealed Tight
So the verdict from the doctor is that nothing is happening with the baby. I am closed tight and high and hard....great, I say, just great :(
Next week get an ultrasound to see where she is, her size, etc...so we'll know then if we need to schedule a c-section.
Funny story, we are delivering at a new hospital in town and they are a hi-tech, paperless, family oriented hospital...there are no visiting hours, you can have a pager to be paged if something exciting is happening like baby's first bath, there are two flat screen TVs in every room, and you can order food to be delivered to your room at any time...just like room service...so yeah fancy. But today we had to go into Labor and Delivery Emergency on doctor's orders and were greeted at the main entrance by the "greeter" who walks you wherever you need to go...on the way from the 1st floor to the 2nd she proceeded to tell us about a woman who had delivered her baby the day before and had been told, just like us, that it was going to be a girl...and lo and behold it was a boy. Now in general...I'd think that was funny...but three weeks before I am due to have a baby that I am told is a girl, has girl clothes, a girl room, etc...not a great story...I wanted to knock her out! Maybe it's just the hormones ;)

So...
Things are better around here. I might have lost a few of you over the last few weeks that I have been missing, but I needed to take that time and figure some shit out.

But things are good here. No baby yet, she is due in May but may have to be delivered early via c-section since she has been transverse breech pretty much the entire time that she has been cooking! We should find something out tomorrow at our first weekly appt./internal exam appt...eeek! Wish us luck.
We've finished her room, gotten her clothes washed and hung up. Separated out the stuff that will be too big for awhile (thanks to Jen), gotten the car seat installed, the pack n' play set up, the stroller ready to go, the bathroom shelf has been cleaned and organized with all of her stuff (who knew a baby would have so much stuff!) We are literally on a roll.
I'm excited.
Oh just so you know also, I hate to bring us all down but we had to put our dog Bridgette to sleep on April 1. I know most of you knew she was ill, so I just wanted to share that with you. We miss her so much! We were hoping that the baby would get to meet her, but that's the way it is I guess. Better for her, she was very sick.
I'll leave you with a picture of the cake from our Columbus baby shower...this image was the same that Jen, Amelia, and I put on our invites...love it!
