I am already frustrated
So I started my freelancing job today at 451 Press and I am already annoyed...why in the hell is Word Press so damn difficult. My first post looks crazy, all kinds of extra spaces, indentions, and general messiness! I swear I'll figure this out!
On another note my mama has been visiting us since Friday which has been oh so exciting ;) Actually she is making me crazy but hey what can you do, they are your parents right? I hardly ever get to see her so it's cool that she is here. She is staying until Tuesday so unless I don't survive the next couple of days you will hear from me then!
Peace and Hair Grease:)

Sigh
On rainy, cloudy, humid days like today I wish I could stay at home and listen to Alison Krauss, in particular Ghost in This House. I want to be wearing jeans, a t-shirt, tennis shoes, a hoodie. Making a difference to someone or doing something useful. I’d like to be planting a garden, or shopping at a farmer’s market, hanging out at the library, teaching a child ways to be good to the earth…anything other than this.
I have been sitting at work for the past week and a half just reading. Yes, I know I work for a publisher but still, no one can read for 8 hours a day and stay awake or get anything out of what they are reading.
I guess in general I am feeling unsatisfied and in general bored.

I must be LOCO!!!!!
So on top of working full time at the Hill, going to graduate school, trying to get pregnant, and maintain some semblance of a personal life, I have just (like 5 seconds ago) agreed to take on a freelance assignment...I must have lost my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping that it doesn't get too hard, I'm hoping that my plan to do the writing on the weekend and post things as I go works out but who knows...keep your fingers crossed for me and we shall see.

Another weekend....gone!
Life around here has been pretty busy! Our weekends are usually booked up in advance and thinking of all that needs done around the house is tiring, especially since it seems like we are hardly ever here.
One semester of graduate school is behind me, I got an A in my first course which I was thrilled about. I was convinced it was going to be a B so I was quite thankful to see that I was completely wrong :)
The book club, bridal showers, birthdays, and the summer in general has been occupying most of my non working awake hours but it's all good in the hood!
We have almost eaten everything out of our garden, it is amazing how much better food is when you've grown it yourself...less pesticides, less hands picking through it at the grocery store, it's free!
Have a great week!

What the...
So it seems like only the third time I meantion Voice Thread in the previous posts, it actually links to the site...so if you are interested click the very last Voice Thread.
Voice Thread
A really cool site that I have recently discovered and wanted to share with you guys is Voice Thread like to think that I am especially crafty, especially when it comes to paper crafts but I am not. I try to scrapbook. I buy all of the supplies, I pull them all out on the table and then it just sits there. I really have no interest in cutting and pasting! That's why Voice Thread is so cool...if I've got it right, all you do is post your pictures and leave a voice memo or typed memo to go along with the photo. Pretty awesome huh? For example, if you had a really cute picture of me like this one...You could type in Dawn and Emily's new dog, Duke hamming it up! Or something like Doesn't Dawn look so cute here? You know something like that ;) Just kidding you could do something really great...give dates, names, how you came about getting that dog, how he shed like a mother, how we thought he was going to eat my arm off when I tried to take his bone away, etc...just check Voice Thread out for Christ's sake!

Still on a break but...
Happy 4th of July peeps!
Today has been quite a laid back day for us, we went to the $4.00 movies at AMC to see License to Wed...I say...skip it, it wasn't as funny or as upbeat as it should and easily could have been. The only really great part was that four cast members from The Office made appearances which made me happy because I effing love that show!
We also met friends out for dinner/lunch at The Cheesecake Factory which took FOREVER...we got there at 2:45 and literally JUST GOT HOME! ughhhhh :(
Oh well, it's been good!
Hope you are all enjoying!
