Updates

Yesterday Baby G laughed for the first time which we miraculously got on video...so I've posted it on here...you can see it in the first 15 seconds but the video is about 75 seconds long...I couldn't believe she laughed it was hilarious...just ignore how lovely I look ;)

So I thought I'd write and say we will be going away to Amelia's family reunion this weekend. We will be staying at Lake Tygart State Park in their lodge and I am really looking forward to it. I can't wait to show the lake to Baby G, not that she will get it but still. I am hoping to get in some reading and maybe even some...sleeping! I know it's crazy talk but keep your fingers crossed.

Things

Around here things are moving at quite a clip. Baby G is 2 months and one week old which just doesn't seem possible to me. I go back to work in 2 weeks and am not happy about it. I just can't imagine how people do this. We have a great friend who will be watching her, the only person we completely trust at this point, but as of right now that seems like that day might just be the hardest day of my life.

I can't imagine sitting at my desk and not feeling so unbelievable sad. Even thinking about it now is making me cry...how do you do it? I just don't know. Oh well, here's a pic. that cheers me up.

The 4th

We attempted to enjoy our first 4th of July with the wee one but were unsuccessful. She wasn't down with the loud bangs or lights so we watched a bit of it from the bedroom of one of Amelia's aunts until we went in search of the quietest room which turned out to be the bathroom...so most of Baby G's first 4th was spent looking upon a sea/dolphin themed bathroom. Otherwise it was a great time, good food, fun people, the best donuts that I have ever had (Lerch's)!

Baby Blues

Today has been a good day. I have actually been able to get some things done around the house and on my personal to-do list that I really needed to do! I even have some time to write this on here and post another cute pic. of the little one!
